Meet Our Family
KaeBeth Rosenberg
KaeBeth Rosenberg has been a caregiver all her life. She gives from her heart and is extremely skilled and competent in all areas of personal care for our clients. Providing end of life care for her father and grandparents taught her lessons that she carries with her. From Activities of Daily living, to precise medical care, she is thorough and caring.
KaeBeth graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 1988. Her many-faceted talents led her to positions of responsibility in the business world. She was later drawn to caring for infants and toddlers, and became a Nanny for a family with five daughters. KaeBeth’s organizational capabilities fit perfectly into the busy household and she was able to teach, guide, and love the children in her charge.
When KaeBeth moved to Michigan, she transferred all those abilities to caring for adults and became a partner in her mother’s business, “Just Like Family”. Now KaeBeth cares for long and short-term clients in their homes--many who are quite healthy, but need the extra care she provides with household responsibilities, as well as medical guidance. She forms very special bonds with her clients. KaeBeth also guides patients and their families through the end of life process. She feels that being able to assist others with their physical struggles is a blessing; to become a part of their lives is a gift.
When not caregiving, KaeBeth sings in her church’s band. She has spent time behind the scenes at the “Old Town Playhouse” and volunteers at “The Music House Museum”. She also loves road trips, having coffee with friends, going to the beach, hiking, cooking, writing, photography, and cake decorating.
KaeBeth is “Just Like Family”.
Barbara Goodearl
Barbara Mates Goodearl comes from a medical background. Her father was a family practitioner and surgeon; her mother, a nurse. She had two years of nurse's training and then received her Bachelors & Masters degrees in teaching.
Devoting herself to her family, Barbara was a stay-at-home mother until her three children were of school age. She got her first full-time public school teaching job in 1976 and taught until her retirement in 1998.
At the end of their lives she kept her husband and parents at home, with hospice help. After their deaths it was then time to give back and Barbara became a hospice volunteer. She was recognized as Flint's Hurley Medical Center Volunteer of the Year in 2000, and Traverse City's Munson Hospice Volunteer of the Year in 2004. Barbara also received the Peter M. Strom Outstanding Volunteer Award from Munson Hospice in 2006.
Barbara began her private-duty career tending to end-of-life patients as well as those needing assistance with activities of daily living. Because of the excellent care they received, many of these families recommended Barbara to their friends and acquaintances. Thus began "Just Like Family."
Besides working as a caregiver, Barbara is very involved in the Traverse City community. She continues to volunteer for Munson Hospice, enjoys acting and working behind the scenes at the Old Town Playhouse, and gives of her time at the Music House Museum, and Interlochen Public Radio.
Barbara is a world-traveler, loves to read, cook, knit, spend time with family, and keep physically fit.
"Just Like Family" is Barbara's fourth child, and she is very excited to see it grow.
