Our Mission

To provide the very best in health care enabling clients (aging, end-of-life, beginning-of-life, and recovering) to stay at home instead of in a facility. To be competitive fiscally, while providing our high-quality independent contractor caregivers, the highest wages possible.

Vision for Just Like Family:

  • To grow in excellence and coverage for all clients.
  • To continue to add services.
  • To have a non-profit branch to ensure care for those who cannot afford our fee.
  • To use caregiver fees and donations to finance the above care.
  • To develop a branch of the business in which we will train family members, on a short-term basis, in caring for their loved one.  This will include providing med sheets for them and any other help needed.
  • To remain small, local, and caring.

Just Like Family

It’s not merely the name of our business, it’s our philosophy. We are “Just Like Family” not with only our clients, but with our team of caregivers as well. We know, and enjoy, each other. We not only communicate with team members on a business level, we are neighbors and friends. We stand together in good times and bad. This sets us apart from the rest.

We personally know each of our team members, as well as their strengths and areas of expertise. For our clients’ peace of mind, however, we have performed background checks on our caregivers, and verified personal, as well as business references. When “Just Like Family” is in your home, rest assured, you are in dependable and caring hands.

“Just Like Family” has both male and female caregivers available. We strive to make our clients comfortable with all aspects of their care.

We provide the highest-quality care and excellent service for competitive prices. Unlike agencies, “Just Like Family” includes free-of-charge “extras” such as: providing med sheets, consultations, RN’s, LPN’s, and Home Health Aides.

We strive to anticipate needs before a client has to ask.

“Just Like Family” pays attention to the little things. For instance: at one client’s home a mother duck lays her eggs inside a closed-in courtyard area. Once the baby ducks hatch, they are unable to get out for food and water. So, each spring, we transport the baby ducks from the courtyard, into a safe area where they have easy access to their needs. Yes, we are even Duck Rescuers!

We bring in the paper and the mail.

“Just Like Family” keeps track of anniversary dates, and birthdays, and sends special notes and cards. We specialize in building lasting relationships.

We are a local, family-owned-and-operated, mother-daughter team.

We are local, NOT a franchise; we add our personalized touch to each client we serve.

It’s the little things that make a difference. We pay attention to the small details that others overlook. For instance, if a special coffee mug is preferred, or you like your toast sliced on the diagonal, “Just Like Family” remembers.

We don’t get paid by the hour, but by the VALUE we bring to the hour.

We are on call 24/7 for our clients, and caregiving team. If needed, we are only a phone call away.

Frankly, we can’t compete with large corporate companies, and we don’t want to. We want to be able to help more people and families, while maintaining quality and our small, home-town feel.

Because our caregiving team members are paid directly by the client, our clients know where the money goes. When using an agency, most of the funds are pocketed, and the caregiver paid very little for their services.
